SUMMARY:AMLA 31st Regular Convention
DESCRIPTION:ANNOUNCEMENT:\nThe AMLA Board of Directors is excited to announce that the 31st Regular Convention of the AMLA will be held on November 7-8\, 2026\, at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake. Members who are interested in representing their Lodge at the Convention as a Delegate should consider the following AMLA Bylaws:\n\n\n\n\nSec. 5.01: Lodges shall elect delegates not earlier than the 1st day of the month five months prior to the start of the Convention and no later than the last day of the month four months prior to the start of the Convention. The names of elected delegates and alternates shall be certified and submitted to the Home Office not later than seven days after the last day for holding such elections. Lodges shall notify members by mail\, or by way of the Official Publication\, of the date\, place and time of the meeting at which delegates are to be elected.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSec. 5.02: A delegate must be a benefit member of the Lodge for at least one year and must have attended at least four Lodge meetings (as defined by the Lodge Manual) in the 12 months preceding the Lodge meeting held to elect its delegates. A delegate shall not be a Board Member of any other fraternal benefit society.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe AMLA Board is excited to continue to build off the success of the last Convention. This is the ultimate opportunity within the AMLA for Members to be a part of the organization’s governance. At the Convention\, AMLA Members who are elected as Delegates will :\n\n\nlearn about the AMLA\, its operations\, and its place in the industry\n\n\ndiscuss and vote on Bylaw changes\, and\n\n\nelect Directors to the Convention-elected Board of Directors\n\n\nThe Home Office will begin sharing information in Our Voice and other media channels to encourage Members to attend meetings and participate in AMLA Governance.\nWe look forward to another successful Convention in 2026!
