THIS IS A VIRTUAL TOURNAMENT. Trying to balance social distancing rules with pent up wishes for fun social activity, we are changing the format of the AMLA Annual Golf outing. We’re excited to be able to be creative in providing a flexible way for members and friends in state and out of state to socialize, compete, and have fun! Here’s the format:
We ask that you golf with a team of 4 golfers (Members or Friends). No. You don’t have to golf at the same time or the same golf course (you don’t even have to be in the same State). You must register your team in advance through the AMLA Home Office.
Our regular golf course is St. Denis Golf Course in Chardon, Ohio. You must golf at an 18-hole course that is of equal or greater difficulty, which means it must have a Course Rating of 70.0 or higher and a Slope Rating of 118 or greater. The Course Rating and Slope Rating are typically available from the golf course web site or course scorecard.
We ask that your foursome (or at least a representative of your team) attend the Kick-Off Zoom Meeting on Friday, June 12th at 5 PM EST. The ground rules will be reviewed, questions answered, and smack talk commenced.
Your team will have until Sunday June 14th at 4 PM to submit each player’s score card digitally, and the average score will be your team’s score.
Sunday, June 14th at 5 PM there will be a closing ZOOM Meeting where the winners will be announced and smack talk concluded. Winners will receive a token for participation, and a donation in their team’s name will be made to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Winners will be announced at a closing Zoom Meeting.
The prizes are:FIRST PLACE: $300 Donation in their team’ name SECOND PLACE: $200 Donation in their team’s name THIRD PLACE: $100 Donation in their team’s name
